Hildegard has been pregnant for a while now. I guess Dwarfs have long gestation periods. Anyway Fox-fur told Hildegard that she is expecting twins. So it looks like the twins are about to make an arrival. Spar is going to miss the arrival. Naming Ironkeels is always difficult because or the Ironkeel naming convention of naming babies after parts of a ship. Who’s idea was that? The exception is Topaz Ironkeel. Of course Topaz, daughter of Bollard and Herena, is exceptional.
Queen Tempest has stationed herself at Institute Island to discover any news on Princess Storm. Her patience has been rewarded if only slightly. Spar received a mysterious message from Storm and Windy in a Birthday card telling their friend that they were fine. And then they discovered a report from Lana. The problem of course is the ongoing disaster relief efforts going on at the Commerce Islands. The Institute is running with just a skeleton crew. They have no one available to mount a rescue in an occupied city.
A small contingent of paladins under the guard of Paladin Luna are guarding the school while the rest are at the Wizard Fortress.
The hospital is filled with disaster survivors and maybe just maybe folk are not watching Spar and company quite as closely as they should.
Then the leader of the institute decides to give birth.
